I recently purchased the game Europa Universalis III and for some reason i get an error window that says something is wrong and the only clue that i have is the stupid Windows Visual C++ and i just need any kind of info on how to get my game to work. . . .
Anyone knw anything about Windows Visual C++?
I would repost this with what the error messege was/said and also list your specs for your computer. What OS you are using, XP, 2000, ME, your chipset %26amp; video cards as well.
It may just be that you do not have the most up to date drivers available for your hardware. You can download the latest drivers from the company websites. Just find out who made your video card (most important for games) and get an update. There may also be a patch or a FAQ for this game.
Apparantly EUIII has a 3D engine which requires the system to meet the Pixel Shader 2.0 specification. I imagine this may be causing your problem and you either don't have a video card that will support the graphics engine, or your drivers are just out of date. I hope this helps, and I hope you don't have to buy a new card. Updating hardware to keep up with software is not the way it should work!
I am very curious if you get this game to work, and if so; the problem. Let me know how it goes, I'd like to purchase this title.
